About the Performers...
Joenne Dumitrascu trained formally as a violinist, pianist, and composer. She has performed professionally as soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Koerner Hall, La Scala, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. She has collaborated with members of the nine-time Grammy-winning Emerson String Quartet (ESQ), as an orchestral player performed with the National Ballet of Canada and the Canadian Opera Company, and is the former concertmaster of the Boston Opera Collaborative. Her recording work ranges from contemporary music to film and TV soundtracks, including Atom Egoyan’s 2009 film Chloe and TV show Nikita, the Screen Composers Guild of Canada and WGBH in Boston. As a crossover musician she has performed as backup musician for acclaimed electric violinist Dr. Draw, Kanye West, and pop-opera group Il Divo. Dumitrascu is Chair of the JSE Music Education pre-college music program in NYC. She is also on the Board of Directors for the 2025 New York International Competition for Young Artists, and she is musician-owner of the Groupmuse Cooperative.
Formerly a double major, Dumitrascu also works as a collaborative pianist in opera and musical theater. Dumitrascu holds a Doctorate in Musical Arts from the State University of New York (Stony Brook), and previous degrees from Berklee College of Music, the Glenn Gould School, and the RCM.

Sarah Sebaoun is an active performer and teaching artist in the United States and Europe. She has been playing and studying piano in institutions such as the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music since a young age. Her main focus is Classical piano, but has also received training in jazz as a young student. She has received multiple scholarships, accolades and completed her master’s degree in piano performance at Hunter College where she also studied music for her undergraduate degree. She has studied under the tutelage of Gary Hammond and Geoffrey Burleson and performed for renowned pianists and educators such as Yves Henry, Seymour Bernstein and William Wolfram. She has performed as a soloist, collaborative pianist and in chamber groups in various venues in NYC and Europe, and maintains a private piano studio in NYC. Alongside her piano studies, she has also studied opera and voice.
